Description

We are looking for a driven and engaged Project Leader to support Scania's ongoing production and digital transformation at its Oskarshamn operations.

Scania Oskarshamn is undergoing an extensive transformation, modernizing both its production operations and IT landscape. Through initiatives in production engineering, digitalization, automation, and the global transformation programme NOVA, Scania is developing a more integrated, efficient, and future-ready organization.

NOVA is a major modernization programme involving the development of both Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES – EBBA) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP – SAP), with the aim of strengthening processes, systems, and operational capabilities.

In this assignment, you will play an important role in leading and coordinating projects and change initiatives within MC. You will work closely with the business, combining project management, change management, and leadership to support the ongoing transformation

The role involves collaboration with both local and global stakeholders, requiring an ability to coordinate cross-functional activities, manage multiple initiatives, and translate business needs into structured project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, projects, and development initiatives.

• Manage multiple projects and activities in parallel, ensuring effective planning, prioritization, and execution.

• Ensure project deliveries meet agreed requirements regarding budget, timelines, quality, and installation.

• Support and coordinate local activities related to the global NOVA transformation programme.

• Manage changes and prioritize initiatives based on business needs and operational requirements.

• Monitor and follow up on project activities, risks, dependencies, milestones, and results.

• Coach, support, and develop team members throughout the transformation journey.

• Contribute to creating a sense of purpose, understanding, and manageability (MBH) within project teams and working groups.

• Represent the business in relevant meetings and forums, promoting collaboration across organizational boundaries.

• Work closely with local and global stakeholders to support alignment and successful project implementation.

Education

• University degree in Engineering, IT, Business/Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Project Management & Coordination

• Experience in project management and/or leading projects or initiatives within production, engineering, digitalization, IT, or business transformation.

• Experience leading and coordinating cross-functional teams or projects.

• Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously.

• Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills.

• Ability to monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and follow up on deliverables.

• Ability to work both strategically and operationally, balancing overall objectives with day-to-day execution.

Change Management & Business Development

• Experience relevant to change management, operational development, or transformation initiatives.

• Strong interest in leadership, organizational change, and continuous improvement.

• Ability to support teams and stakeholders through organizational or operational changes.

• Ability to translate business needs into structured activities and practical implementation.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

• Experience collaborating with different functions and stakeholder groups.

• Ability to build relationships, create engagement, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Relevant Additional Experience

The following experience would be particularly relevant to the assignment:

• Experience working in manufacturing or production environments.

• Experience with production-related digitalization, automation, or IT transformation.

• Familiarity with MES, ERP, or other production-related business systems.

• Experience coordinating activities within larger transformation programmes involving local and global stakeholders.

Who You Are

You are a driven, engaged, and proactive professional with a strong interest in leadership, change management, and business development.

You enjoy leading teams, projects, and improvement initiatives and have a structured approach to planning, coordination, and follow-up. You take initiative, accept responsibility, and are comfortable managing several activities in parallel.

You have a natural ability to build relationships, create engagement, and establish effective collaboration across different stakeholder groups. You communicate clearly and confidently in both Swedish and English and can adapt your communication to different audiences.

You are comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels. You understand the importance of maintaining an overall perspective while also paying attention to the details required for successful implementation.
