Assignment description

About the role

  • As Technical Lead, you will work closely with the FR360 development teams and the broader Common Data Sourcing initiative. Your focus will be to provide technical leadership, support the teams in technical decisions and help turn the target architecture into practical, well-designed solutions.

  • You will establish and drive the technical direction together with developers, architects and other key stakeholders. An important part of the role is making sure that system design supports both business needs and non-functional requirements such as maintainability, performance, security and testability.

  • The future platform will support the reliable integration of more than 200 source systems and provide trusted, traceable, and historically consistent data for Finance and Risk use cases in a regulated banking environment.

  • You will act as an important link between the development teams and the architect community. While architects establish and drive the target architecture and solution intent, together with existing Tech Lead(s) you develop the technical design and drive the development towards that target architecture.

  • Within FR360 and CDS, you will work in a technically complex data environment involving data integration, data modelling, data pipelines, migration and modernization of legacy and mainframe-based solutions. The future Finance and Risk data platform is intended to provide trusted, traceable and historically consistent data for Finance and Risk use cases.

Key responsibilities include:

    • Establish the technical vision and direction together with the development team and help turn it into working solutions.
    • Lead the team's technical work and support developers in solving complex technical and design questions.
    • Work closely with architects to translate target architecture into system design and implementation.
    • Drive and facilitate technical and system design decisions, ensuring that important decisions are clearly documented.
    • Develop technical designs with built-in quality and consideration of non-functional requirements (NFRs).
    • Support technical deliveries across FR360 and Common Data Sourcing, including dependencies between teams, source systems and technical components.
    • Promote good engineering practices such as DevOps, CI/CD and secure-by-design principles.
    • Challenge technical proposals and help the teams evaluate pragmatic solutions and technical trade-offs.
    • Communicate and collaborate closely with developers, architects, managers, product owners and other stakeholders.
    • Drive the team to adapt to changes (technical and way of workings)
  •

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

    • A strong background as a senior developer, Tech Lead or similar technical leadership role.
    • Strong experience with data platforms, data warehousing, data integration or data engineering.
    • Deep understanding of system design and data structures, with the ability to turn complex requirements into pragmatic technical solutions.
    • Good understanding of non-functional requirements and engineering practices such as security by design and quality by design.
    • Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform, Airflow, DBT, Data form, Terraform, Python
    • Experienced working with data modelling
    • A structured and pragmatic approach to solving complex technical problems
    • Professional proficiency in English.
  • It is beneficial if you also have

    • Experience from banking, finance, or another regulated industry, preferably involving Finance and Risk data or regulatory reporting.
    • Knowledge of enterprise data warehouse concepts, Data Vault 2.0, data lineage, historization, metadata, data quality, and relevant governance requirements such as BCBS 239.
    • Experience migrating batch-based or mainframe data flows to cloud-native solutions
  •

    Slutdatum: 2027-04-30
